Building Client Lists - Joint Ventures

Building Client Lists - Joint Ventures

by Martin Vanek

Are you looking for ways to promote your online business? Do you know that those who have success in internet marketing are people who possess client lists? So how could you build your own list of customers to insure your business goes well? You are about to discover how joint ventures can help you to achieve your aims.

In joint venture relationships everyone wins. You get the chance to promote your product to someone's list of customers, customers purchase and get the value of the product and the list owner gets his reward. Moreover, you do not have to pay anything to anyone until a conversion occurs. So how can you convince people to form a joint venture with you?

Firstly, search for people who place ads in Ezine directories. You will have to pay for some of these, but it is absolutely worth it, as you can move forward very quickly. Keep in mind, the published Ezine should be relevant to where your prospect customers could be and it should also contain a certain amount of people, to make sure you are not wasting your time.

After that you have to get in touch with the person and make an offer. Make sure it is simple to a person to accept your offer and to collect the money after the campaign, because if it is not, you need to review your offer. People with big client lists are too busy to get involved in some complicated process.

The third principle is to make sure that you are fair and fast in the compensation. This means that you pay them fifty percent and that you don't make them wait. Pay them as SOON as the money comes in, in fact if you can use an affiliate software or service like click bank all the better. This will insure that they will be happy to do business with you again.

The final thing to do is to collect testimonials from the partners who you have worked with and make sure that you give them a list of easy questions to answer in order to create one. This will give you the credibility which you need to convince people to do joint ventures with you when you approach them. Use these principles and you will find that Joint Ventures are the quickest way to build your own list of customers and make money online. - 20490

Writing A Press Release To Get Attention To Your Business

Writing A Press Release To Get Attention To Your Business

by William Cotner

Would you like to increase the traffic to your website and finally get people to know what you can offer them? You might have tried many internet marketing tools as Pay Per Click, article submission and Search Engine Optimization, but did you know that there is another great way to generate traffic? You can achieve this by using press releases, and in this article you will find out how to do it.

First rule is to make your press release NOT look like an advertisement. The less it looks like an ad, more people will read it and more effective it will be. Try to create your press release based on news, something special which your company has, something which can be interesting to read about.

Once you have a newsworthy story, you will want to make sure that your press release actually gets noticed by someone who can do something with it. There are plenty of free sites which offer press release distribution but if you really want to get great results you should consider paying for some publicity. There are actually places where you can PAY to have your story feature on places like CNN and other news stations and radio shows. How would that work out for your business?

As soon as your story got chosen by your channel, you should write a press release. You can do it yourself, or hire someone to do the job for you. A decent press release can cost you about a hundred dollars, but if you are a good writer, you won't find any difficulties writing it on your own. Start with clear and interesting introduction, outlining what the press release is about. This step is crucial, as if you will not do it well enough, you will be loosing the audience.

Also, you want to make sure that the press release is interesting enough to stand on its own as a story. Don't just give information, do something to give it an emotional edge like using specific names and mentioning people who are involved in the story. Stories about people are the most interesting things for other people to read. Finally, make sure that the press release is also information and educational. Selling is really nothing more than educating the public about your product or service and the value which it offers so if you educate without promoting you can still sell people on your message.

So go ahead and get your plan together to set up your press release and see what kind of attention it brings you. - 20490

Google Ad Quality Depends On You

Google Ad Quality Depends On You

by Nick Trebble

Advertising is the main factor used in calculating the amount of successful publicity a product will get. While using the Internet to find prospects for a business or product that will be sold, the Google ad quality is the key ingredient. When applied correctly this is the greatest advertising tool available.

First of all, the word quality needs explained to make the point as clear as possible. Using common words is a good practice. Also use words that are popular. Think clearly about your advertisement. Attempt to generate a concoction of words that can be tied together and expressed effectively.

Next, make up several slogans that may be used in relation to the product or item. After publishing, these different Google ads can be compared to decipher which word combination contains the higher traffic volume gain. Then make up some more. Basically, the combinations of words used along with which words are used will turn the sales key.

Choose themes that can be applied to the Google ads quality content. Content of simple words used in easy to interpret styles will get more traffic than poorly worded paragraphs. The main objective is to get as many visitors to a site as technologically possible. The words that are used and how they are wrapped into a description should base the theory of creating a Google ad.

Use adjectives that create a colorful visual projection of the product. The headline is the first thing a prospect will see. This can be highlighted, written in all capital letters, and there can be symbols or underlining applied. Try to think of creative ways to project the words that will stand out. Think of it like this. You are in the middle of a crowd of people and you see an old friend on the other side of the crowd. What will make you get noticed? Waving the arms? Probably not unless you are seven feet tall. By the time you make it through the crowd the person will be gone, so you start yelling their name, and because you are wearing a bright yellow shirt that person's attention is drawn to you immediately above all the other voices.

In other words the number of words used is not the ticket to successful Google ads quality. It is simply how the words are placed into the descriptions. The descriptions do sell the products however getting noticed by web surfers will seal the entire sales deal.

After the publication of the Google ad is placed. There is another test that can be performed. Type your keywords into a search engine and look for your ad. Finding out where you ad is placed can help you to better an advertisement. For example, you would not want an advertisement for and e-book about planting scallions ending up on a green energy web page. These two subjects do not have anything in common and your ad will most likely be overlooked.

Finally, the business is ready for a significant blast off. Keep an eye on the movements linked to the amount of viewing and Google ad produced is receiving. Then constantly think about ways to perfect an already selling advertisement. Remember with anything it can always be better because there is no perfect world. - 20490

5 Tips To Closing The Sale Without Making A Phone Call

5 Tips To Closing The Sale Without Making A Phone Call

by Riche Goldmann

You should know that there are five crucial things that you should do to create a good impression on a potential client or customer to begin the journey to closing the sale before you ever talk to the potential client in person, on the phone, or communicate via the internet.

1. Create a positive, high-energy, informational website. The world that we live in requires that almost every serious business have a website, or at least any business that wants to be taken seriously have a website. Your website should be eye popping and interesting as many potential customers or prospects will visit your website before they ever talk to you. They will be directed there by search engines like Google, by friends, family, acquaintances or associates. So be sure that it looks good. In addition, make sure that you answer as many questions about your product or service on your website as is possible. Remember, you want to make someone want to use your product or service. Finally, make sure that your website is user friendly and easy to navigate. It should not deter people from staying on it.

2. Send the prospect a polished, professional proposal or brochure. If your potential prospect hasn't discovered you, but rather you are in the position of making yourself and your business known to your client, a professional, vibrant (think full color!) proposal, brochure, postcard, or other marketing piece will likely make your first impression for you. Again, you want that impression to be positive and reflective of what the prospect can expect when they do meet you and do business with you. Be sure anything you send out to a potential client is polished and professional. You can never remake a first impression.

3. Do your homework so you know something about your prospect. If possible, you should take your time to get to know your prospect or something about your prospect's business. Research the company on the Internet, talk with mutual associates to learn more about the prospect, and take a personal interest in how you can help your prospect not just in how you can make a sale. Your genuine interest and desire to help your prospect will be evident from the moment you first communicate with that prospect.

4. Personalize for the prospect. There is nothing better than knowing that someone has thought about you and taken you into consideration when doing something. The same is true in business. So the next time you are making a sales pitch, be it a product or service that you are trying to sell, make sure to personalize the presentation for the client. Include their name and company logo in the presentation slides, personalize labels on products, and create special presentation materials tailored to reflect the client and/or their company. While these are relatively small details, they really add up in the big picture by helping you to close the sale.

5. Send your prospect a free sample. You may not know this, but when people receive mail, they organize it into two piles: one is the junk pile and the other is the keep pile. Bills, personal mail, and packages end up in the keep pile, while advertisements always end up in the junk pile. It is not surprising that no one really reads the junk pile, they just throw it away. To avoid being placed in the junk pile, try sending your prospects samples of your work for free. If you provide a service, send a classy but cheap gift that will get used but will also encourage the prospect to give you a call when in need of the service that you provide.

Think ahead, think differently, take a few small proactive steps to create a good first impression, and watch your numbers explode! - 20490

Advertising While Promoting Your Self To Clients

Advertising While Promoting Your Self To Clients

by Vale Stuggs

Self promotion consists of shouting about your strengths with a subtle and artistic hand. Without subtlety and creativity, self promotion would be the equivalent of bragging, not advertising. Advertising is not simple and in fact has many details involved. You would begin by collecting information about your product and creating content.

In our high-tech society, having a website for your business is important. The amount of computer savvy people who can create a website for you makes this marketing tool inexpensive and rather simple. There are also various technologies used to develop websites which give varied results. For instance, a one page flash website will not draw a customer's eye, but a site rich in graphics can garner their interest. After the website creation, you need to focus on the content of the site. To have top rankings on Google, Yahoo, and MSN, seek the advice of a search engine optimization expert. With the rise in search engine use, it is paramount to your product's success to be easy to find. By making your site high ranking you can achieve this. Customers will revisit your site if you continue to make changes and updates. Enlist someone to create a company logo to also capture customers' attention and broadcast who your company is.

In addition to content on your website, publishing articles in other online publications, newspapers, business publications and magazines will promote your product. Try to focus on ten benefits of your product or business. Any online publication you are in will also move your search ranking up.

Once the printed and online medium is covered, you may consider television advertising. A commercial that airs in prime time will reach a great number of people. Align the content of the commercial advertisement to your product. One trick is to utilize a famous person as a spokesperson. This will convince ordinary people and fans of the personality to purchase your product.

You should reevaluate your advertising and marketing strategy often. You can see what worked and what didn't. You can ensure you don't repeat mistakes you have made. If your product or company has achieved any awards or special honors you can begin to include those in your marketing campaign. Achievements give credibility to your company or product and will attract consumers.

Another good idea is to analysis the work of your competitors often. You can see if they provide something you do not and other areas you can improve upon.

Do not overlook sending mail as part of your advertising strategy. Do optimize performance, identify appropriate customers and ensure you have the proper address. Keep your customers in the know by sending any updates within the company or to your products. Of course, many people forego snail-mail and use email. This can be a better allocation of resources. You can also send emails to a huge database with sale information or any other updates.

Before releasing any product in the market, product testing should be done by giving out samples among the targeted customers. The feedbacks makes it more clear whether the product is ready to be released in the market or whether changes should be made to make it more appealing to the public. It is recommended to approach sincere friends, acquaintances, partners and clients at first to test your product and then go to the public, as expert advice is more useful.

To garner even more customer loyalty, thank your customers and clients for their support of your product. Always remember to include them on special occasions by sending a note of thanks. Tokens of appreciation such as customer loyalty discounts or free gifts can also go a long way. Keeping happy and satisfied customers is just as important as attracting them originally. - 20490

How can Digital OOH Advertising Benefit a Retailer?

How can Digital OOH Advertising Benefit a Retailer?

by A Nutt

With the amazing advancements in technology, businesses are now taking advantage of digital methods of advertising. This has lead to an increase in digital out-of-home (OOH) advertising. A 2007- 2008 Digital Out-of-Home Media Awareness and Attitude Study revealed that 63% of people surveyed reported that place-based digital advertising catches their attention more than any other media, including advertising on television, the web and other forms of tradition media such as newspapers, magazines, and radio.

(http://www.adcentricity.com/) Digital OOH advertising can benefit a retailer in the following ways:

- OTX (Online Testing exchange) conducted a national survey with consumers where people reported that this media was one of the most unique and entertaining ways to capture their attention. Capturing consumers attention is essential for increasing sales.

- Digital OOH advertising offers advertisers flexibility and target-ability in order to reach consumers.

- Businesses can target consumers outside of their homes.

- Advertisers can deliver appropriate messages based on where the advertising screen is located. They have the ability to advertise in places where people travel throughout the day. This can include supermarkets, clothing stores, malls, coffee shops, fitness centersetc.

- There is no better place for a consumer to receive a message than when they are in a store. POPAI research has shown that as many as 70% of buying decisions are made in a store Digital OOH is effective when targeting consumers who are just browsing in a store.

- Average recall rates for digital and video out-of-home advertising networks has been reported as about 40 percent. Traditional media recall rates are lower: television (32%), radio (27%) and magazines (21%) * Source: Advertising Made Easy and Effective, By Lyle Bunn March 2009,USA Today

- There are improved and reliable audience metrics and accountability

- In large department stores or shopping malls, (http://www.adcentricity.com) digital out of home helps retailers to create highly targeted messages to consumers based on screen locations within the departments. They also have the ability to place screens in high traffic locations, in specific demographic profiled areas, and near the area where the actual product is being sold. They can also place screens in store front windows and run the ads 24/7.

- Advertisers can target almost any demographic or socio-demographic group.

- When done correctly, consumers will be provided with useful information and content that fits their lifestyle and needs.

Because of the consumer is outside, they are closer to where the products are located. This can result in a quicker decision to make a purchase. No other media offers the ability to target consumers when they are so close to the point of sale.

- Advertisers can continue a relationship with consumers by regularly updating their ads. Because this method of advertising is relatively new, it is very cost effective.

- By targeting a specific audience, businesses will reach only the consumers who are likely to buy their product. A well thought out, creative, and well-planned campaign will eliminate advertising waste and save businesses a lot of money.

- Consumers approve of digital OOH advertising. Research conducted by Edison Media Research showed that reaching mobile consumers in multiple places during their weekly routines resulted in 59% of respondents who saw the ad reporting that they were interested in learning more about the service.

In order to maintain a successful business, advertisers have to keep up with changing technology and lifestyles. Digital OOH has been steadily convincing businesses to recognize the benefits of this form of advertising. Marketers are now seeing a boost in product sales, more engaged customers, and an increase in advertising campaigns. Digital out-of-home advertising is the future of efficient, creative, and cost-effective marketing campaigns. - 20490

Using Very Simple SEO Tricks

Using Very Simple SEO Tricks

by Hass67

Search engine optimization (SEO) is thought to be tough, difficult and time consuming by many. In this article, you can learn a few very simple SEO tricks that work very well on Google. Use these tricks to get your blog post ranked for a particular keyword.

If that keyword has 50-100 searches daily that means a good traffic to your blog daily. Using these simple tricks, many of my blog posts have top ranking for a number of keywords on Google. This gives my blog lots of traffic.

But before these trick starts working, you need to have at least 50 posts on your blog. Once your blog post reach more than 50, Google will start considering you a serious blogger.

Google likes fresh content. Since blogs provide fresh content to Google on daily basis. Google indexes blog posts much faster than webpages. If you are posting at least once everyday, your blog will get priority with Googlebot and it will index the post (in most cases) in 15 minutes.

Choose a keyword that you want to get your blog post ranked before writing the post. It is very important that you use that keyword in the title of that post.

The first sentence of the post should contain that keyword. Use that keyword in the post a number of times. But the keyword density should not be more than 4% in the content.

Use that keyword as anchor text for a link three or four times in the post. Bold the link. Use the keyword in the URL of that post like http:// www. Yourdomain.com/keyword, you can easily do this in both wordpress and blogger.

In case of blogger, you cannot change the URL of the post after you have published the post. So use the keyword in the title. Publish the post. Edit and change the title again if you want. But it should still contain the keyword.

This way you are telling Google; hey this is the keyword for this post. I have used these simple tricks for getting top ranking for keywords having 100,000 to 1000,000 competing webpages. - 20490

Having Trouble Managing Your Adwords Campaign? Change the Headline!

Having Trouble Managing Your Adwords Campaign? Change the Headline!

by George Curtis

A good Adword campaign starts with a good headline. A great Adword campaign starts with a great headline. And knowing how to write great headlines is a very valuable skill in any business. The failure to understand how critical this skill can be is a huge mistake that we see from both Adwords newbies and professional Adword management companies.

Good keyword research and bidding skills may get your ad shown in a top ad position when someone does a search, but if you don't have a compelling headline, you may be wasting a lot of money. On the other hand, you can have poor ad placement, ranking near the bottom of the page, but if your headline sticks out, then you will end up "stealing" clicks from your higher-ranking competitors.

So if you don't know how to write good headlines, where can you start? Start by looking at some of the ads that appear when you search for your keywords in Google. Now, if you are a student of mine, you already know my philosophy about the top ad position. Hint: "The top ad position is not always the place you want to be, and the company advertising there, does not necessarily know what they are doing." But there ARE instances when the top ads will have the best headlines. Look at those ads and pay attention.

Another method that I like is to use a research tool, such as Spyfu or Keyword Spy to see which ads of a competitor have consistently been in positions #4-6. Many times you will find that your competitor affords to rank lower because they have strong headlines that out-convert higher-ranking ads. Read those headlines and learn from them as well.

Also, it may be beneficial to look OUTSIDE of your industry for Adword headline ideas. How about a real (at the time of this writing) live example?

Let's say I am writing an ad for an attorney and need an inspiring headline. I will now search for a babysitter to get ideas. So I just typed "need a babysitter" into Google and here is an incredible idea from an ad whose headline is: "Need a Local Babysitter?" I love the word "local". I can now use the headline "Need a Local Attorney?" or write another headline that includes the word "local". At the time of this writing, a quick search on "need an attorney" showed no ads on the first page using the word "local." My ad would definitely stand out!

You may be wondering, "Can I steal headlines? Is that plagiarism?" There is no rule that says you cannot use the same headline your competitor is using. But you must remember, 99% of the time the advertiser is doing SOMETHING wrong. So if you are going to copy a competitor, I suggest you copy only what works. Sure, I like to look at competitors' ads and take notes. I even recommend starting a digital "swipe" file, where you take headlines that you really like and copy them to a document and keep adding to that file for future reference.

There are many free resources on the web that can train you to write good headlines and we will cover some great headline-writing techniques in a later article, but the most important thing is that you recognize your return for investing time into learning how to write a great headline. If you can't afford to invest your time, then hire a copywriter who knows how to write headlines and ad copy for search marketing ads. Many Adwords management companies also have specialists who are experts in writing headlines and ad copy that can turn otherwise so-so advertising into highly successful Google Adwords campaigns. - 20490

Management Services for PPC Advertising

Management Services for PPC Advertising

by Sean Galusha

The introduction of pay per click in 2002 made a whole new setup in online advertising and paved the way towards a more appealing and more effective way of gaining customers online. Because of this, pay per click marketing became popular and people who are claiming to be experts on the trade have appeared everywhere on the internet with promises to provide the best strategies and success for your business.

Indeed, pay per click is ideal for businesses and a cost-efficient way to advertise businesses online. Sad to say, some businessmen sometimes do not realize their goals in online marketing because they often got lost in the technical knowledge and strategies.

Below you will find several tips in what to look for from these supposedly experts in the pay per click industry.

Expertise in Search Engine Optimization

Pay Per Click Marketing is dependent on the correct use of Search Engine Optimization. Without this knowledge, it is a wonder how you can make pay per click work at all.

Pay per click is essentially about directing traffic of online web surfers. If you will advertise on websites with very less patronage, it is very likely that you will not generate big sales. Even if these visitors are serious buyers, you are only reaching out to a very small percentage of the market.

Like any other ad, advertising online should be something that catches the attention of the users and that, in online advertising, it is best to advertise on websites that are SEO optimized. These sites are keyword optimized and appear on the first page of search engines when the keywords are typed on the search box.

Approaches to Marketing Management Campaigns

In choosing a company that provides pay per click management, make sure that the company has updated and latest approaches towards online advertising. Check how dynamic is the company in dealing with the fast-changing ways of web advertising.

Alternative solutions should also be readily available once problems may arise. These companies should also be able to offer a good connection between you and the websites that will host your online ad.

Lastly, your online marketing strategy should not rely on random results but should be based on effective strategy. - 20490

Understanding How Search Engines Work

Have you ever wondered how exactly search engine marketing works or how search engine optimization can help your business? Search engine marketing relies on the basic principles of search engine optimization. Search engine optimization makes it possible for a search engine's spider to find your web page and add it to the search engine results page whenever someone does a search for a word or phrase that shows up on your website.

Search engine marketing uses search engine optimized content to make your website easier for the spiders to find and for people who are searching the web to find. A search engine uses thousands of little bots called spiders to index the millions of web pages that are on the Internet. These spiders start at the most well known websites and work backwards following links and searching for common words and phrases. Every page that the spiders come across with those particular words on them is indexed and saved. Those pages are the ones that show up in the search engine results page when someone uses Google or another search engine to look for websites on a particular topic. The place where each site shows up in the search engine results page ranking is based on the content of the site, how many times particular words and phrases appear on the site and the relevance of the site to those search times. That is why search engine marketing depends so heavily on search engine optimization.

If you want your website to show up higher on the search engine results page then you use to use search engine marketing and search engine optimization techniques in order to get the spiders to notice your site and put your site higher on the search engine results page. People who are using a search engine to look for websites will rarely click to the second search engine results page. It's crucial that your site be on the first page of the search engine results page or people will probably not find your site. Using search engine marketing and search engine optimization is the best way to do that.

The number one rule to remember when you are planning out search engine marketing strategies or trying to figure out how use search engine optimization effectively on your website is that your website should have 100% original content. The spiders will place your site higher on the search engine results page if the content that is on your site is original. When websites duplicate copy the spiders pick up on the repeated phrases and language and will sometimes not index a site at all if the spider determines that the content is too similar to the content on another site.

Search engine optimization and search engine marketing is more than just taking one word or phrase and repeating it a certain number of times. The content on the site has to be fresh and engaging and also contain the keywords or key phrases that will bring traffic to the website. - 20490

Search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN are really just data bases. When you do a Google Search you are not searching the "world wide web" you are searching Google's data base. There are two ways to get in to these databases. One is to submit your site to the different search engines. In about 6 to 9 weeks the search engine will index your site. They have software that comes to your site and index every page and adds it to the database. They come into your main web URL and follow the links to all the pages of your site. They capture key elements from the code on your page to the content. These are then stored in the data base. When someone puts a keyword in the search box the "algorithms" determine the best page or links to the best pages for your search.

The other way to get added to the search engines data base is to have the search engine software find you through a link to your site from another web site back to yours. The software, called "spiders" will periodically comeback and re crawl your site to see if you have updated it.

One important thing to know is that each page on your site is indexed individually and each page stands on its own. The ranking are based upon the combination of correct meta tags, relevant content to the keyword they are trying to get rankings for and link popularity. Mostly one way links back to their site from relevant sites.

As long as the search engine can index the site, clearly read the meta tags and content, the better. The big issues come when a site is built in flash with very little content (search engines cannot read or index "flash" sites. Also, if the bulk of the relevant content is in PDF format this is bad because the search engines cannot read PDF. If the search engines cannot index the relevant text there will be no rankings.

You all ready know this but "sites" are not ranked, individual pages are ranked for specific terms found in the content of that page as well as link popularity, (relevant links pointing back to that specific page) for the term that you are trying to get ranked on. This is why each page has to be giving very specific attention. Paid search

Paid search is when your ad shows up at the very top of a Google search or down the right hand side of the results page. These are called "sponsored ads". You pay for those positions. When every you click on one of those ads the owner of the ad pays the search engine. This is also called "pay-per-click". The amount you pay is determined by several factors including what you are willing to pay every time someone clicks on your ad.

Natural Search

Natural Search is when you type in a "keyword" and a link and a description shows up on left hand side of the search result page. The only way to get on the first page is to have very relevant content on your web site and links to your site from other relevant sites. This is a long process for people in it for the long haul. There are a lot of companies that claim to be able to get you on the first page of Google. That may be true if the "search term" is very specific and no one else would ever search for it but you or they are using a "black hat" method that could get you site banned from the search engine. Bottom line: Paid Search means you pay for your position. The benefit is, if you have the $$, you will get instant traffic. Stop paying and the traffic goes away. Natural search is free traffic but it is built over time. The advantage is, if done right, it can provide traffic for a long time.

Search traffic (paid or natural) is the BEST traffic to have because you are being found by folks who are specifically looking for what you have. It does not get any better than that. - 20490

Google Adwords For Beginners - 7 Essentials

Google Adwords For Beginners - 7 Essentials

by Joseph R. Miller

When running a campaign to generate increased revenues for your website, Google Adwords proves to be among the best options. However, for most beginners, this can be quite a terrifying experience especially if you lack the essential skills in properly setting your campaign. Given the right knowledge, you can bring more people to your site and have them buy your offered products or services.

Perry Marshall, author of The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords offers several tips for beginners and novices who want to maximize profits using Google Adwords. Knowing exactly how to fine-tune your keyword lists, setting up test ads for each campaign, and learning as much about your target market as possible are the building blocks for success with your online marketing strategy.

Are you ready to get started with Google Adwords? If yes, then here are seven valuable guides or ways to remember when making your initial campaign:

1. Be particular with the location. You must be precise on the location where you want your intended market to come from. Since Google Adwords facilitates the targeting of geographic settings and various search networks, you must decide on your specific traffic source whether it is on the local, national, or international sphere. Ultimately, such areas will be where your ads will be running.

2. Be budget-savvy. Since you are new in this business, might as well start with a small budget. Besides, Adwords does not require spending too much money and you are always free to modify your daily ad spending whenever there is a need to. For instance, your CTR gets higher then you can also increase your ad spending.

3. Make use of the appropriate URL. To monitor the progress and effectiveness of your ad, use a landing page or other destination URL aside from the one that directly links to your homepage. This approach also allows you to endorse easily any of your site's section.

4. Use action keywords in the body of your ad. Encourage ad viewers to take action immediately with words such as 'sign up now!' or 'contact us today!'. These can encourage click-throughs to your site and put the viewer in the mindset of taking action in a few short clicks.

5. Be vigilant about the competition. You can monitor your ad's progress by running simple Google searches using your own keywords. Take note of the ranking of your competitors' versus your ads. What ads came first? If there is a huge discrepancy in the ranking, you can go check other keywords or phrases used by your competitors and adjust your ads or pattern implementation of your strategies to theirs.

6. Set up separate campaigns for each keyword. Avoid lumping all of your targeted keywords into one campaign so you can track exactly how each word is performing as you run the ads. Setting up separate campaigns helps you determine your return on investment instantly, so you can eliminate what may not be working with ease.

7. Be proficient in the Google Analytics application. Adwords, when incorporated with Google Analytics helps you discover what viewers actually visit in your site. Moreover, this application helps you achieve your targets in your market research as well as comprehend your viewers' needs. - 20490

Advertising Tips - Advertising in Yellow Pages

Advertising Tips - Advertising in Yellow Pages

by Soraia Bauer

Some people hold that yellow pages do not embrace reply similar to alternative promotion methods do as great as this is loyal to a little border though not in totality. When articulate about normal yellow pages, there certain are a decrease in series of people opting for promotion in it. According to a brand new report, even a many tasteful announcement in a sold territory is not removing a reply from callers similar to they used to get before. Upon a contrary, a prices of fixation ads in directories have been upon a rise that speaks a different, story altogether.

In reality different categories are witnessing different rates of decline. Like the lawyers category is seeing the maximum decline, where as emergency service provider's section has the same call rate. And sections like mobile phones, real estate and furniture are seeing a rise due to the increasing customer demand. Altering the size of the advertisement or changing the look cannot do wonders any more.

Experts suggest that relying on yellow pages to get customers isn't enough. Other options should be considered as well along with it. With the Internet reaching every home, nearly half of the Internet users use the net everyday. They prefer to buy stuff online, from the comfort of their homes. Research should be done on the Internet to get reviews about the product. People, who don't usually shop online, also are also opting to shop online as information is provided at the click of a mouse. It is easier for people to trust as customers who used the product give their feedback about the product after using it.

A relatively newer concept is the yellow pages going online. The good thing about them is that they are updated frequently unlike the printed directories and can be viewed from any part of the world. According to researches conducted, the response increased by twenty five percent every year. So those who are interested to invest in yellow pages advertising can think of going online. Directories are submitted to search engines, which on typing a keyword or phrase bring the results. Small and local businesses, too, can land on the pages brought by the result. The cost of creating a website can be saved if all the relevant information about the company is included in the online yellow pages. Look out for the date to renew the directory listing, and if there is a need to change the advertisement, it is not a big problem on online yellow pages. Some starter websites offer to place advertisement in their yellow pages for free. Search out for such websites on the Internet.

Larger businesses can start their own websites and place links in the online yellow pages. Articles can be framed about the business and can be submitted to Ezines and websites related to the area of business. Some websites also allow posting articles for free. The purpose of the yellow pages is basically to get potential customers but that doesn't mean that existing customers should be neglected. Steps should be taken to strengthen the relationship with them and to retain their trust by maintaining the standard of the products supplied to them. Once they are completely satisfied, the price-rise won't bother them and they will talk about the company to people they know, which will fetch new customers.

The neutral is to work smartly and select the right method of advertising. If a business isn't using any other method for advertising apart from using yellow pages, it can cause problems and the products may not sell. Analyze how much money is spent on placing ads in directories and estimate whether the amount of customers the business gets is desirable. Whenever a call is received from a potential customer, ask them how they got to know about the enterprise. This will help to analyze which advertising method is saint for the business. It is never late to correct the mistake and go for the right method. - 20490

Don't Blow it - 8 ways people Mess Up articles

by Brent Sweet

The best thing you can do to bring targeted visitors to your site besides ranking number one on Google is to write effective articles. There are several mistakes people make though when they go to do this, and it renders their articles useless.

The way to have your articles distributed everywhere is to NOT do the following:

Number One: Like your english teacher used to say. Spell everything correctly and use good grammar. Use spell check.

Number Two: The article is to share information on a topic, not to promote or build a bunch of hype around yourself. If you want it to be read save all the hype building for the bio box at the end.

Number Three: Dont base your content on things you dont have knowledge in, you are here to inform the reader.

Number Four: Make your article specific. One topic per article, dont write a weight loss article and turn it into a business opportunity article.

Number Five: Use your headline to attract readers, not just to subject your article.

Number Six: Do not purchase articles, and do not steal articles. Write your own unique articles, this way people may actually publish it on their website!

Number Seven: Promote in your bio box, but only promote one thing. Don't promote a bunch of different sites in your bio box. This relates back to the one topic issue.

Number Eight: Blasting duplicate articles all over the internet. Spin your articles a few times at the very least so that they are different, or pay a service to do this for you. - 20490

Is there a Google Sandbox

by Brent Sweet

If you have read anything about SEO you have heard of the Google Sandbox. It is basically a rumored filter that Google has that prevents new sites from reaching the top of the search engine index.

So is it really there? I can't really say for sure. It would be a good idea, but it would prevent sites that are brand new and good from ranking for a period of time. There really is only one thing that would tell you if it exists and that is if you were so good at SEO that you could develop and optmized page both on and off site that should be number 1 and register the domain all on the same day. I don't know anybody that good.

I believe it depends on your optimization efforts, not the Google Sandbox. I had a site that was just below 100 for about 2 weeks after the domain was registered. 2 weeks later I was at position 10. I had increased my optimization efforts. Did I beat the sandbox, does it only last 2 weeks, does it exist at all? I don't know, but if it does exist it doesn't last more than 30 days if you know what you are doing.

So to get to the point, it may exist but I beat it in less than a month. If you are such a good SEO that you can optimize a site that should make it to page one in less than 30 days then props to you. I think my site getting on page one of Google in 30 days, before Yahoo even indexed me, is an indication that the Sandbox is fluff.

What people refer to as the sandbox for me, is natural progression. I think that you have to pass sites to get ranked, and it takes some time to pass a site that has been on Google for a while. - 20490

The way to understand online purchasing processes

by Zach Halon

The factors and relationships that influence the browsing and buying behavior of individuals when they shop on-line are very complicated. Specifically, they are interested in individual buyers using business to consumer sites. In general, advantages of online shopping as perceived by consumers include convenience, selection, price, original services (services that may be available online but not elsewhere), personal attention (some consumers perceive that they get more personal attention from merchants by going online), easy and abundant information access, privacy (consumers may be able to view, compare, and buy items that they might be reluctant to buy in-store, and freedom from sales people).

One of the benefits of online shopping is the ability to obtain information and make comparisons, provided consumers know how to make efficient searches. However, it can lead to information overload, which in turn, might turn people off from online shopping. How do consumers balance these pressures? The primary reason for shop online was convenience, characterized as shopping from home and avoiding hassles of parking, salespersons and checkout lines. Other reasons included better prices, and saving time. Availability of products / services, as in access to variety, was also indicated as a significant reason for shopping online.

The people are more interested in convenience than in price, are interesting because they contrast the popular belief. This finding has strong implications for businesses and managers working in this area and should be considered while designing e-commerce strategies as well as websites.

The second leading reason for not buying online was the lack of customer service. This includes the inability to reach someone if the consumer has a problem while shopping as well as post-purchase service problems. Lack of social interaction was cited as a third reason for not shopping online. Social interaction implies the opportunity to interact with a salesperson.

It also includes the perception of shopping as a social activity with friends. The latter interpretation may also account for a higher percentage of the group indicated this to be a problem. There was also a perception that products bought online are more expensive. This appears to contradict better prices being a reason to shop online. However, we believe that the Internet shopping mall is perceived to be more expensive because of shipping costs.

It is also possible that people feel that they have not got the best deal. While comparison-shopping is possible, it is limited by the sites that the respondent visits. If the consumer feels that s/he does not have sufficient expertise to navigate the web, s/he may also feel that the best deal has not been secured. - 20490

Affordable Advertising on Craigslist

John DeLellis

The advertising on Craigslist is certainly affordable. In fact there is no fee for the majority of posts made on Craigslist. Craigslist began as a non-profit organization but in 1999 it was converted to a for profit organization. However, operating costs are supported by charging nominal fees for help wanted advertisements placed on the San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City Craigslist websites. Additionally, there is a fee for brokerage apartment listings in New York City.

The vast majority of those posting advertisements on any of the Craigslist over 300 websites are not paying a fee to do so. This definitely makes posting advertisements on Craigslist to be worthwhile from a financial standpoint. While the advertisements are free care should be taken to post these advertisements judiciously because although there is financial loss, poor posting can result in a loss of time and resources if it leads to poor profit potential.

Why Craigslist is Free

Although the founder of Craigslist, Craig Newmark, was approached in 1997 about the possibility of running banner advertisements on Craigslist to generate a profit, he made the decision to keep Craigslist as a noncommercial website. Even after Craigslist was converted to a for profit organization commercialization did not infiltrate the website. The points listed in the Craigslist mission statement demonstrate why Craigslist has remained noncommercial:

* Giving each other a break, getting the word out about everyday, real-world stuff

* Restoring the human voice to the Internet, in a humane, non-commercial environment

* Keeping things simple, common-sense, down-to-earth, honest, very real

* Providing an alternative to impersonal, big-media sites

* Being inclusive, giving a voice to the disenfranchised, democratizing…

* Being a collection of communities with similar spirit, not a single monolithic entity

Advertising on Craigslist vs. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is another type of marketing which many business owners find to be both worthwhile and affordable. For many the appeal of affiliate marketing is the affiliates are not compensated for their efforts unless the business owner sees some type of gain from the advertising. This gain may be in the form of website traffic in the case of pay per click marketing, in the form of sales in pay per sale marketing or in the form of potential leads when a website visitor performs a specific action such as registering with a website or signing up for an offer.

While affiliate marketing is very appealing there are others who prefer advertising on Craigslist. The advantages Craigslist offers to advertisers is, of course, that the advertisers never pay for their business advertisements and the community receives a great deal of website traffic already so driving traffic to the website is not a concern.

Why Free Is Not Always Better

However, there are some specific instances where free advertising is not the best type of advertising available. Consider a product or service for which Craigslist does not have an appropriate category. In this case advertising on Craigslist may not be worthwhile because although the advertisement is free, it is also not likely to receive a great deal of attention from members of the target audience. In this case, advertising on Craigslist may be a waste of resources.

Another example of an instance when Craigslist may not be a great advertising option is when the market is already saturated with competitors' advertisements. In this case it can be difficult to sway customer loyalty so it might be more worthwhile to pay for advertising in a less crowded market.
